Gems for Planets

Gems for pleasing and enhancing the effects of planets
Ever since man first scratched the surface of the earth, fine gemstones have been treasured as the elemental essence of the planet. Their dazzling beauty, their rarity, their ever-enduring value, and their convenient portability have made gemstones one of the most concentrated and highly prized forms of wealth in the world.
Less known today but perhaps of even greater ultimate value to the individual owner are the potent astrological powers of fine gemstones. Like the crystals used in radio receivers to transfer invisible radio waves into sound, gemstones attract and condense the astral energy waves that rain from sky to earth and transform them for use by the human energy system.
The pervasive white light of the universe is actually composed of seven primary and two invisible colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet; plus the invisible ultra-violet and infra-red bands. Among all the elements in nature, gemstones constitute the purest, most potent and concentrated forms of color, and therefore gemstones naturally resonate harmoniously with the energies emanated from their associated planets.
1) Ruby for the Sun,
2) Pearl for the Moon,
3) Coral for Mars,
4) Emerald for Mercury,
5) Yellow sapphire for Jupiter,
6) Diamond for Venus,
7) Blue sapphire for Saturn,
8) Hessonite for Rahu (the ascending node of the Moon)
9) Cat's eye for Ketu (the descending node of the Moon),
These gems must be high-born (top quality) and flawless. In this important sloka the words, "sujatyam-amalam" (sujati=high born, and amala=completely pure or flawless) are very significant. According to bona fide Vedic authority only clean top quality gems are considered to be auspicious.
The selected gem should be purified in a temple before use.
